Rob drives the company’s strategic direction, including all investment and development. Over the last two decades, Rob has led MAVD’s substantial growth in Ann Arbor and the company’s 2006 geographic expansion into the Front Range of Colorado. Rob’s keen understanding of market dynamics and capital structure, combined with his focused and disciplined approach, have established MAVD as a market leader in both Michigan and Colorado. Under Rob’s leadership, MAVD has acquired and developed projects representing more than 3 million square feet of office space, and 1,000 acres of land, valued at more than $1 billion.
Before joining MAVD in 1995, Rob held senior management positions with GE Capital and Balcor/American Express, and with private investment bankers, in New York, Chicago, and Detroit. Rob has also served as Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Michigan where he taught graduate-level courses in real estate finance.
Rob earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of Literature Science and the Arts at the University of Michigan and his master’s degree in real estate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Jeff oversees MAVD operations, including all asset and property management, leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, development, and third-party advisory services in Michigan and Colorado. With responsibility for the wide variety of transactions at MAVD, Jeff has a hand in both the strategic and practical elements of MAVD’s business.
Before joining MAVD in 2008, Jeff provided management, investment, and brokerage services for private investment firms, and was a third-party commercial broker for both boutique and global brokerage houses. With more than 30 years in commercial real estate, he has worked with all property types and transactions in multiple urban markets.
Jeff graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance and marketing.
Dan directs the financial operations of MAVD. His responsibilities include corporate and property-level reporting, financial modeling, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. With over 35 years of experience in accounting and financial management, Dan has implemented systems and controls at MAVD that ensure the highest level of client confidence and satisfaction.
Before joining MAVD in 2012, Dan held senior management positions at national and global real estate investment and development firms, including the largest private office developer in the country. Dan is a Certified Public Accountant.
Dan earned his bachelor’s degree with distinction in business administration with a concentration in accounting, and his master’s degree with distinction in business administration with a concentration in international finance, both from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
Mark manages land planning, architectural design, tenant improvement, and development projects for MAVD. A 30-year veteran of real estate planning, Mark navigates complex entitlement, land use, design review, and approval processes, and has strong working relationships with municipalities across Michigan and Colorado.
As principal of Archetype, Inc., an Ann Arbor architectural firm, Mark provided site planning and architectural design for the MAVD portfolio of projects for 13 years. In 2002, Mark left Archetype to join MAVD as the company’s in-house architect and planner.
Mark is a member of the American Institute of Architects and has been a licensed architect since 1989. Mark earned his bachelor’s and masters’ degrees in architecture from the University of Michigan’s College of Architecture and Urban Planning.
Cindy directs the property management division of MAVD in Michigan and Colorado. Her 20 years of experience and personal touch benefit the properties she oversees, and the people who have the opportunity to work with Cindy.
Before joining MAVD in 2015, she managed over 2 million square feet of commercial, retail, industrial, and residential space, including 1,500 apartments and condominiums. Cindy has considerable experience in capital and tenant improvements, tenant and owner relations, lease administration, and project management, as well as budget preparation, financial reporting, and rent collections.
Cindy earned her bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in English from Ferrum College in Virginia.
Lorelei is responsible for cash management, financial reporting, and asset reporting for MAVD offices in Michigan and Colorado. Her experience and understanding of accounting, including a wide variety of automated accounting systems and software solutions, are critical to the efficient operations at MAVD.
Lorelei joined MAVD in 1999 and received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Baker College in Michigan.
Laura expertly completes a variety of tenant administration and property management tasks in the MAVD office. Dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for every tenant, Laura is often the face and the voice of MAVD as she receives service requests, schedules maintenance, and updates property management records and systems.
Laura joined MAVD in 2008. She has more than 30 years of customer service experience, including 15 in commercial real estate.
Gerard oversees all property service, construction, and maintenance for MAVD. His broad expertise and hands-on experience bring a level of sophistication to every MAVD property and project – qualities that are essential to implementing and maintaining the state-of-the-art commercial building systems that distinguish MAVD properties.
Gerard joined MAVD in 2008, bringing nearly 25 years of experience in construction, maintenance, and real estate ventures in private and municipal sectors. Gerard holds a Contractor License and HVAC/EPA Universal Certification.
Pat performs a variety of high-level property services for the MAVD Michigan properties. He specializes in energy management and alternative energy resources, including solar and geothermal power, and also maintains power, security, and lighting systems.
Pat has more than 30 years of experience in the building industry and is a licensed electrician.
Danielle receives and processes invoices, ensures vendor insurance compliance, and assists the property management team in Ann Arbor.
She joined MAVD in 2015, bringing experience from the hospitality and housing industries. Danielle attended classes at Eastern Michigan University and Baker College in Michigan.
Margaret provides an array of property management services, including oversight of tenant renovations and relations, for MAVD’s Colorado portfolio. An experienced manager, Margaret’s strong interpersonal skills are used to negotiate service agreements, oversee completion of construction and service projects, and manage contractors. Her experience in property acquisitions, construction, and management across property types is invaluable.
Margaret joined MAVD in 2007, after relocating to Colorado in 2004 from Washington, D.C. where she served as a senior manager for one of the area's most active commercial real estate developers.
Rachel supports all aspects of property management operations in Colorado. A strong communicator, she handles service requests, schedules maintenance, processes invoices, and performs property inspections for tenants. Before joining MAVD in 2015, Rachel worked in property management and real estate marketing.
Rachel has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and communication from the University of Arizona.
David performs a variety of general maintenance tasks to ensure smooth building operations for MAVD’s Front Range properties in Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins. David believes in a team approach to problem solving and provides exemplary service to all building tenants.
David joined MAVD in 2014, bringing more than 15 years of residential and commercial building maintenance experience to the Denver office.
